Oceans Calling 2025 is a world marketing campaign launched by the World Broad Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2019. Its purpose is to guard and restore the world’s oceans by 2025. The marketing campaign focuses on 5 key areas: overfishing, plastic air pollution, local weather change, habitat loss, and unsustainable coastal improvement.
The marketing campaign is necessary as a result of the oceans are important for all times on Earth. They supply meals, water, and livelihoods for billions of individuals. In addition they regulate the local weather and play an important position within the world carbon cycle. Nonetheless, human actions are placing the oceans underneath growing stress. Overfishing, plastic air pollution, local weather change, habitat loss, and unsustainable coastal improvement are all main threats to the well being of the oceans.
