The race would be the fifth time that the Bahrain Grand Prix has been held on the Bahrain Worldwide Circuit, and the nineteenth time that the race has been held in Bahrain. The primary Bahrain Grand Prix was held in 2004, and has been held yearly since then, aside from 2011 as a result of Bahrain rebellion.
